Who we are
This scanner is run by Noctal Labs (Hiten Patel), United Kingdom. Contact: [email protected]. We are the controller of the personal data described here.
Your bundle
Your bundle never leaves your browser. The scanner reads your .aab file inside your browser. The file, its contents, its package name and the scan results are never sent to us.
Anonymous scan counts
When a scan starts, finishes, fails or is cancelled, the page sends only the event name and, for failures, a short error type such as "not-aab". When you open the built-in sample report, it sends only "sample_started" and "sample_completed", kept apart from scan counts. We store a daily count per event. We do not store your IP address with these counts. We use them to see whether the tool is useful. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests.
The interest form
- We collect your company name, work email, role, how many apps you maintain, your optional note, and which boxes you ticked, with the time and the version of the wording you saw.
- "Contact me about the paid pilot": we use your details to reply about the pilot. Lawful basis: steps you ask us to take before a possible contract, and legitimate interests.
- "Send me occasional emails about upcoming Play deadlines": lawful basis is your consent. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can withdraw at any time by emailing us.
- Pilot enquiries are deleted three months after we decide whether to run the paid service, unless you become a customer. Marketing consent is kept until you withdraw it. After an opt-out we keep a minimal record so we do not email you again.
Spam protection
The pilot page uses Cloudflare Turnstile. It loads only on that page, never on the scanner page. Cloudflare processes technical information about your browser and IP address to tell people from bots. See Cloudflare's Turnstile privacy notice.
Processors and transfers
The site, the form and its database run on Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.), which may process data outside the UK under its data processing terms and the UK's international data transfer safeguards.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to our use of it, or withdraw consent, by emailing us. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
